There's an elf standing alone,
He's being quiet, setting the tone.
It was a spooky day and now a spooky night.
It's early Halloween, and the feeling's just right.
From behind the trees a 'Boo!" can be heard,
And screaming children laughing at the absurd.
There's a man handing out candy to each and all,
And a scary willow tree standing nearby, ominous and tall.
There's a sweat old woman cackling like a witch,
And there are children laughing, hiding in a ditch.
Just a few more days to be merry and play,
A few more days left to celebrate this holiday.
