Did You Really Need That Amigurumi?
You've got no arms.
I haven't that limb.
You're missing your hands.
I don't even have fins.
You can't grasp your breakfast.
Or my dinner or my lunch.
How can you eat?
I nibble and I crunch.
You can't hug me or throw the ball for me to catch.
I can read to you and tuck you in at night.
I love you, but you look different now.
I'm still dad. Trust me kiddo, it'll all be alright.
[I admit it. I went sentimental. But hugs are hugs and love is love. No limbs necessary.]
